DDA / ACCESS AUDITS / EDUCATION, SPORTS & LEISURE BUILDINGS

Pillar Consultancy Have now completed Access Audits for a variety of building types (schools, libraries, town halls, offices, colleges and sports / leisure projects).

The format of the report includes illustrations, priorities, costs etc. and it is supplied in hard copy and electronically for future updating as a management tool.

One College client wanted reports covering 60 buildings spread over 7 sites and for each site a report was prepared for the main building complex with appendices as appropriate for other blocks on the same site.

Another authority wanted all sports and leisure buildings to be surveyed and for this work guidance notes and audit sheets published by Sport England was chosen as the starting point with a simpler and cheaper reporting mechanism agreed with the client. As part of this work the Sport England audit sheets were converted for use on a lap top during the site surveys.
