BENEFITS OF REGISTERING AS A PILLAR USERS
As an Authority with the responsibility for the
maintenance of existing SCOLA steel framed buildings, the full benefits of registering as
a Pillar User would be as follows:-
USER GROUPS
Right to attend User Group meetings (held
on an as need basis), these meetings determine policy, recommend tender actions and
approve the level of annual reviews etc.,
SCOLA STEEL FRAME
SYSTEM
Use of the system with access to manuals
and supporting technical information and all necessary support from the Central
Development Group for an agreed fee (this fee is waived in respect of Users
subscribing to a Service Level Agreement)
COMPONENT
ARRANGEMENTS
Free use of all of the component
arrangements listed in Pillarguide No.9 at the current programme rates and conditions of contract.
Schedules of Rates and Component Brochures for Pillar arrangements are available upon
request.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE &
REFURBISHMENT
Right to attend Maintenance &
Refurbishment meetings (one or two held per annum) and to receive Pillarguides (Twenty
two have been issued during the last four years) upon the payment of a Service Level Agreement Charge. The meetings serve as a useful
forum for exchanging ideas and information and presentations are made of topical subjects,
for which CPD Certificates are issued.
MAINTENANCE OF SCOLA BUILDINGS
Pillar Consultancy is the only
organisation licenced to hold all of the fabrication drawings and technical details
applicable to the existing building stock. Therefore if your existing SCOLA building
suffers fire damage Pillar Consultancy can furnish the necessary fabrication drawings for
any replacement steel and details of any other component that needs replacing (current
nominees do not hold details of previous marks). Pillar Consultancy can also advise
and offer solutions to maintenance problems relating to your particular mark of
SCOLA.
WHAT DOES IT COST? WHAT OBLIGATIONS DOES IT IMPOSE
Registration as a Pillar User is FREE and the facilities and arrangements are there to be used if the authority
so wishes without obligation. A registered Pillar User is entitled to attend User Group
meetings and help determine policies etc., but again, if they do not wish to attend, they
are under no obligation to do so,
