COMPONENT ARRANGEMENTS Pillar Consultancy maintains a comprehensive range of building components, full details of which should be available within the technical library, or other nominated position, of each member authority. The ranges are well proven, simple to use and represent good value for money. Although privatised in 1994, members wanted the organisation to offer the same service as before. Therefore it was agreed that whenever Pillar/Scola invited tenders for component arrangements they would use one of the Local Authorities as the Host Authority to receive the tenders and their tender procedures would be followed. Because of this procedure it has been established that any Local Authority can use these arrangements without the need of going out to tender themselves and still comply with standing orders and satisfy the Auditors. Further copies of individual publications are available from Pillar Consultancy together with any later variations to this index.
