Problem

The existing single glazed steel window walling offered poor insulation and required regular maintenance. Panels vulnerable to breakage. Windows not weatherstripped.

Solution

Removal of steel window wall. Replacement with polyester coated, thermally broken high performance aluminium curtain wall and windows. Double glazed with sealed units comprising 6.4mm laminated glass incorporating Bronze tinted interlayer and 6mm Pilkingtons "K" Glass, spandrel areas glazed with metal faced, plastisol coated insulated panels therefore offering improved insulation and durability. Double weatherstripped opening ventilators and factory applied polyester paint to aluminium surfaces with marine guarantee.

Internal fitted timber panelling re-instated to spandrel areas, other internal junctions trimmed or made good in an appropriate manner.
