SOCIAL SERVICES BUILDING ON THE SOUTH COAST
Before After

Problem
Existing
single glazed timber screens, timber deteriorating in certain areas and
requiring regular maintenance. Excessive heat build up in south facing
elevation.
Solution
Removal
of existing timber screenwork. Replacement with polyester coated, thermally
broken aluminium screens incorporating double weatherstripped opening lights and
doorsets. Double glazed with clear toughened sealed units generally but
incorporating solar control bodytinted glass to south facing elevation to
improve comfort of room occupants. Factory applied polyester paint to aluminium
surfaces with marine guarantee. Panelled areas comprising insulated trespa,
faced both sides. Internal services including heating, water pipes and
electrical circuits decommissioned and re-connected in co-ordination with works.
Internal abutment and perimeter junctions made good and suitably trimmed as
appropriate.
